about the museum

Since 1979 Maison Alphonse-Desjardins has been operated by Société historique Alphonse‑Desjardins, whose mission is to safeguard and promote the history and heritage of Desjardins Group and its founder and co-founder, Alphonse and Dorimène Desjardins, for the benefit of current and future generations.

The museum brings history to life in a permanent exhibition, The Legacy of a Couple, offering visitors an intimate look into the moving personal history of these 2 greats in the cooperative movement and into their family life. Visiting this historic monument allows you to trace the origins of Desjardins Group and appreciate the invaluable heritage bequeathed by its founders.

Maison Alphonse‑Desjardins invites you to get lost in this exceptional setting and travel back in time to discover a source of great inspiration.
