Your comments on the Savings and investments section

These changes were made based on the comments you shared with us in recent days.

"In my investments, I'd like to see the issue and maturity dates as they were displayed in the old version. I don't like having to click on each investment to find out which one is maturing soon."

"In the old version, I could see all my investments and their maturity dates. In the new version, I have to click on each investment to see information on it. In my opinion, it's not an improvement. It takes much longer and it's less efficient. As for the other changes, they are interesting and make the system more user-friendly."

Site display on iPad

  • Display width corrected on iPad to avoid zoom problem.
  • Pop-up scrolling problem fixed.

Your comments on the full site

"The characters are bigger and more spaced out, which means I can't see all my accounts and investments at one time."

"I haven't used it much since. In my opinion, the page is a bit too spread out. I preferred a more condensed page where I could see all my accounts at one time."

Your comments on the tablet version

"The characters are too small on the tablet. They have to be enlarged to be seen properly."

"The new version is hard to use on a tablet. When trying to scroll in a pop-up window, the page behind scrolls."

Desjardins individual and business members now have the same point of entry to log on to AccèsD and AccèsD Affaires.

Discover an updated logon page and notice that “4540” has been replaced by “Username”.

What is a username?

Your username allows you to log on to your individual and business accounts.

Your username for your personal accounts can be:

  • your Desjardins Access Card number, with or without the “4540”
  • your online access card number (non-members only)
  • your email address - NEW!

How to create an email username

You can continue to use your card number to log on even if you create an email username.

To create an email username:

  • Log on to AccèsD with your access card number as you've done until now, and click on the Profile and preferences icon in the right-hand menu.
  • Under Security settings, select Username, and then click on Add an email. Here's where you can enter your email address.
  • You'll then have to activate your email address with an activation code. Click on Get activation code to get a code.
  • Once you receive your code by email, enter it in the Activation code field, and then click on Activate.

You'll be able to use your email address as your username the next time you log on. You'll also be able to use your username to log on to AccèsD mobile.

It's simple, easy to remember and secure!

If you're also an AccèsD Affaires user, you'll have to use a different email address to connect to AccèsD and AccèsD Affaires.

Is it still just as secure?

Yes. AccèsD and AccèsD Affaires security measures still meet the highest information security standards in the industry. Your security settings—your personal phrase, image and questions—will go on identifying you and ensure you're logging on to the genuine Desjardins transactional site.

Have a question about a product while you're logged on to AccèsD? Want to view the terms of a new credit card or check current mortgage rates and come back to your accounts easily?

With simplified navigation between AccèsD and Desjardins.com, you can go back and forth from one to the other in complete security.

In the menu bar at the top of the page, click on Personal services to go find the information you need. Once you've found what you're looking for, click on AccèsD at the far left of the menu bar to come back to your active session, exactly as you left it.

Is it secure?

Yes. Once you're logged on to AccèsD, periods of inactivity are always limited to 5 minutes. Your session stays active as long as you continue using AccèsD or the Desjardins.com informational pages.

A warning window appears 3 minutes before your session expires to give you the option of extending it.

I have been trying to log on to AccèsD on my computer and it isn’t working very well. I either see error messages or the connection is very slow. What should I do?

We released a new version of AccèsD and AccèsD Affaires and subsequently experienced technical difficulties, most of which have been resolved, but it is possible that you may still have problems. Everything should be resolved shortly. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The problems you are experiencing may also be caused by other factors. Please try the following:

Why isn't my iPhone, iPad or Android app working?

Because of the release of the new AccèsD and AccèsD Affaires, you have to update the app on your mobile device. Download the new version of the Desjardins mobile services app.

The operating system on your smartphone or tablet should be (at least) one of the following:

  • Android 4.0.3 or later
  • IOS 7.0 or later

There have been issues since the new version was released. Is the Desjardins site still secure?

Absolutely. We are still very committed to security. To learn more, go to How we protect you.

I can't find what I want on the new AccèsD. Why did you make all these changes?

Desjardins wanted to offer members a more user-friendly experience on AccèsD and AccèsD Affaires.

The new versions of AccèsD and AccèsD Affaires include:

  • a new option to log on with your email address, which is easier to remember
  • a comprehensive overview of all your Desjardins products and services, so you don't have to browse through many tabs
  • easier access to all your account statements and documents, now grouped together in a single location
  • many features that most AccèsD users didn't know much about are now highly visible, such as Interac e-Transfers and the My budget tool, both of which you may discover for the first time on the new AccèsD
  • the option to extend the duration of your session, thanks to a warning after a period of inactivity on AccèsD

The AccèsD Assistant, available when you log on, can be your guide and walk you through the new changes to show you the new versions of AccèsD and AccèsD Affaires.

It should be noted that the changes to AccèsD were made with the collaboration of Desjardins members.

For many years now, Desjardins has been organizing discussion groups and user experience (UX) lab tests with members to get their feedback on the development of Desjardins's online services. Members like you took part in surveys and the development of AccèsD Services.

Learn more about the innovation lab.

What impact will the changes have on AccèsD telephone?

AccèsD telephone service will remain the same. If you already use an AccèsD 3-digit phone password, it will still work.

Do I have to use my email address as a username?

Using your email address as a username to log on to AccèsD and AccèsD Affaires is just an option but you don't have to. It's just another way to connect, easy to remember and very safe.

Even if you create an email username, you'll still be able to connect as you always have: with your debit card number on AccèsD or with your usercode on AccèsD Affaires.

Your email address will have to be activated by a code and validated before you use it. Your security settings (personal phrase, image and questions) will still identify you and ensure you are connected to the real Desjardins site.

Will the features change?

The changes to AccèsD and AccèsD Affaires are described both on this page and in the videos: an enhanced logon procedure, a new overview page and simplified navigation.

The AccèsD and AccèsD Affaires features you have always used won't change.

With a view to the ongoing improvement of its online services, Desjardins will update more features throughout 2015.

I can no longer accept Interac e-Transfers and the funds are pending. What should I do?

You can still send and receive Interac e-Transfers just as before. However, the first time you log on to the new version of AccèsD or AccèsD Affaires, you have to close the introductory window to be able to receive an Interac e-Transfer and deposit the funds.

Why can't I find the username I stored in my old version of AccèsD?

The usernames you had stored on the old version of AccèsD may not have been saved when the new version was launched. Please create your usernames again.

Do I need to choose a new password?

Your old AccèsD or AccèsD Affaires password still works. If you'd like to change it or if you've lost it, click Forgot your password? on the Log on page. Your new password must be made up of 6 to 12 characters (letters and numbers) with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one number, and it must be different from your last 6 passwords.

I can't find my investment maturity date. Where can I find this information?

To see an investment maturity date, from the AccèsD overview page, click Options next to the appropriate investment under Savings and investments, and then Information and returns. Investments maturing in the next 6 months are also displayed in your Calendar. Click on the Calendar icon on the upper right-hand portion of the screen to see them.

Where can I view all my investments?

Investments are now displayed in the Savings and investments section below Accounts and Cards, loans and credit on the AccèsD overview page. To view them, click Savings and investments.

Why did you change the site when it was just fine as it was?

Can I go back to the old version of the site?

Unfortunately, you can't go back to the former version of the site. However, we'll do everything we can to help you through the transition.

How do I empty my browser's cache memory or reset my browser as I'm being asked to do?

Go to Clear your browser's cache memory to find out how.

I used to use my bookmarks to access the AccèsD logon page. Where must I go to log on now?

It's always preferable to avoid using bookmarks or shortcuts to access a secure site like AccèsD. By avoiding them, you'll ensure that you're directed to the right web page.

How to log on to AccèsD

You must enter the Desjardins website address (www.desjardins.com) in your browser's address bar. It's important to not use a search engine (e.g., Google, Bing, etc.), bookmarks or shortcuts. Then, click the Log on button in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. The system will ask you to enter and confirm your username, i.e. your Desjardins Access Card number (with or without 4540) or your user code. You can then enter and confirm your password.

I have personal accounts at Desjardins (AccèsD Internet) and I also have an account for my business (AccèsD Affaires). Where must I go to log on to my accounts?

You can now access the AccèsD and AccèsD Affaires sites from a single, unique page: the Log on page. If you enter your access card number in the Username field, you'll log on to your personal accounts on AccèsD, and if you enter your user code, you'll log on to your business account on AccèsD Affaires.

The logon procedure is practically the same as it used to be, with only this exception.

How to access the Log on page

  • Enter the Desjardins website address (www.desjardins.com) in your browser's address bar.
  • If it's the first time you visit the site, select your language and province preferences.
  • Then, whether you have a personal account or a business account at Desjardins, click the Log on button in the upper right-hand corner of your screen, then the Go button under Online transactions.
  • The system will ask you to enter and confirm your username, i.e. your access card number (with or without 4540) or your user code. You can then enter and confirm your password.

I've been told that I can use my email address as a username to log on to AccèsD. Why doesn't it work?

To log on with an email address, you must first add your email address as a second username in your security settings under the Profile and preferences icon in the right-hand menu of the AccèsD overview page. You can then log on with any of your 2 usernames (your card number or your email address).

How to use your email address as a second username

  • Start by logging on to AccèsD with your access card number as a username, then click the Profile and preferences icon in the right-hand menu.
  • Click Username in the Security settings section.
  • On the Security settings page, click Add an email.
  • Enter your email address, then click the Get activation code button to activate your new email username. An email with your activation code will immediately be sent to the email address you provided.
  • Enter the activation code in AccèsD, then click Activate. Once the email address has been activated, you can log on to AccèsD with either your access card number (with or without 4540) or your email address.

More help

Let yourself be guided through your first visit by the AccèsD Assistant, who'll help you discover the new overview page. It will introduce to you the new AccèsD features, show you the main changes made and help you find information that applies to your particular situation.

Note that the AccèsD Assistant remains available at all times to help you use certain features, such as Interac e-TransfersTM, Desjardins money transfers and bill payments.
