Chief Operating Officer

Luc Ménard is Desjardins Business Capital régional et coopératif’s Chief Operating Officer, with primary responsibility for managing Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins.

Up until August 2016, he held the position of Managing Vice-President, Investments and led an established team of professionals across Quebec who specialize in company buyouts, development capital, business ownership transfers and support for cooperative development and growth.

He joined the Desjardins team in 2001, where he has in turn held the positions of Investment and Telecommunications Manager, IT and Telecommunications Manager and Vice-President. Previously, he worked with large companies and in business startups in the telecommunications industry.

Mr. Ménard has been active in entrepreneurial circles for more than 20 years. He is noted for his strategic vision, comprehensive understanding of the issues and challenges facing entrepreneurs and the scope of his expertise in company buyouts.

Mr. Ménard has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Université de Sherbrooke and an MBA from Queen’s University. He currently serves on several boards of directors.
