Créavenir

Help for entrepreneurs 18 to 39 who can't get financing

The program provides young entrepreneurs who want to start their own business or who have a business that's less than 3 years old with:

  • coaching and mentoring
  • financial aid in the form of loans and grants

Eligibility

To qualify for Créavenir financing, you must:

  • be between 18 and 39
  • have a viable plan to start a new business or grow an existing business that's less than 3 years old
  • lack access to conventional financing or sufficient funding
  • be a member of a participating Desjardins caisse or agree to become one

How it works

  1. 1

Once you've prepared your business plan and you're ready to go, bring it to your local entrepreneur support agency that partners with Créavenir.

If your business plan is viable but your personal investment and guarantees aren't sufficient to get you conventional financing, we might be able to help.

  2. 2

    If your project is accepted:

    • You'll get mentoring for the entire start-up phase of your business.
    • You'll qualify for a line of credit of up to $15,000 at prime rate + 0.5% for a 5-year period.
    • You'll have access to a Business card with a limit of up to $1,000 at prime rate + 0.5%.
    • You may also be eligible for a grant of up to $5,000, which you can use to qualify for other sources of financing.

After a minimum of 6 months and based on your needs and credit score, your line of credit could be increased to up to $30,000 at the same attractive rate.
