Supporting kids’ mental health

Good mental health is key to helping kids reach their full potential: it boosts their self-esteem and gives them the tools to deal with anxiety and stay focused.

That’s why the Desjardins Foundation is proud to announce that we’ve donated $245,000 to 2 organizations committed to supporting kids’ mental health: Fondation Jeunes en Tęte and Kids Now.

Fondation Jeunes en Tęte works throughout Quebec to help kids aged 11–18 avoid psychological distress. Our contribution will go towards developing the Partners for Life program which organizes school presentations and workshops on good mental health habits for grade 7–8 students.

In Ontario, Kids Now is working to empower young teens through an after-school program geared specifically to vulnerable youth. Its goal is to help kids improve their self-esteem so they can make good decisions.
