Marie-Claude Boisvert - Biography

Marie-Claude's main role is to support caisses and their Desjardins Business centres by providing a service offer adapted to the needs of companies of all sizes. She is also responsible for overseeing specialized teams, notably capital markets and international commerce.

With Desjardins Group since 1994, Marie-Claude has close to 30 years' experience in business financing. Throughout her career, she has made a name for herself in the venture capital sector and been a strong supporter of entrepreneurship, bolstering community economic development.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Université du Québec à Montréal, which named her a special ambassador of the university, and is a member of the Quebec order of chartered professional accountants (CPA). Marie-Claude shares her expertise with the boards of a number of organizations, including the Montreal Port Authority, where she is chair of the board, and the École de technologie supérieure (ETS). She is also involved with several community organizations, a reflection of her social and cooperative values.

Marie-Claude has been ranked one of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women in the Corporate Executives category. In 2014, she was named Fellow of the Quebec order of CPAs. The prestigious designation is awarded to CPAs who promote the profession through their outstanding achievements. She also received the Inspiration Andrée Corriveau Award from the Association of Quebec Women in Finance.
