Chadi Habib - Biography

Executive Vice President, Information Technology, Desjardins Group

Chadi Habib is Executive Vice-President of Information Technology at Desjardins Group.

Consisting of nearly 4,400 technology professionals, his organization is accountable for all technology solutions and operations to the banking and insurance sectors of Desjardins Group. He assumes the coleadership of the digital transformation initiated by Desjardins Group, an important shift which aims to enhance all services offered to Desjardins’ 7 million members and clients.

Prior to coming to Desjardins in 2011, he was the CIO and VP Shared Services for Rio Tinto Engineered Products in Paris, France. He completed a 5-year mandate to federate and optimize IT operations for the group as well as design and put in place finance and HR shared service capabilities. Before Rio Tinto, Chadi held several executive positions in Canada, the U.S. and Europe at SAP and EDS.

Chadi Habib has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business. He also is a member of the Quebec government's digital strategy advisory board, which helps shape the government's decisions on digital initiatives.
