Caisses Desjardins du Québec and Caisses populaires de l'Ontario [Change site]
The Caisse populaire de Frampton has a long tradition of involvement with local youth. This is why it is so enthusiastic about the massive concerted effort being made by all Desjardins components toward youth outreach.
In 2008, the Caisse awarded 13 student bursaries at the Annual General Meeting on April 20, 2008. This program aims to reward university, CEGEP, and vocational school students. Bursaries are also given to students returning to school and students who have a registered education savings plan (RESP).
Bursary winners for 2008
University (3 bursaries worth $500)
CEGEP (3 bursaries worth $400)
Vocational training (2 bursaries worth $250)
Door prizes worth $250
Registered education savings plan (3 bursaries worth $200)
The Caisse populaire de Frampton also contributes to Fondation Desjardins, which gives out over a half million dollars in bursaries each year.
To help introduce children to sound savings habits at an early age, the Caisse populaire de Frampton actively supports the educational school caisse services at the L’Envolée school.
