Transfer funds from your account into the account of another Desjardins caisse member1 or VISA Desjardins cardholder. This means you can:
Money transfers can be:
1. Get a specimen cheque from the money transfer recipient.
Obtain a specimen cheque from the person you want to add to your list of recipients and make sure "VOID" is written on it. The information you need is at the bottom (see below):

If you don't have a specimen cheque:
2. Log on to AccèsD
On the appropriate page, enter the transfer recipient's information and press the Validate button.
3. Select Make a money transfer in the menu on the left. Follow the instructions on the next page.
Fees equal to those charged for transfers between accounts on AccèsD Internet will apply.
A money transfer is considered a final transaction in the sense that it can be neither cancelled nor reversed, just like a cashed cheque.
If you have accidentally transferred funds to the wrong recipient on your list or input an incorrect amount, you must contact the recipient directly to straighten out the situation. A recipient who owes you money may reimburse you by whatever means are available to him or her (money transfer, cheque, cash, etc.)
Review recent activity and the statement of transactions available on AccèsD to determine the amount, date and recipient to whom you have transferred funds.
If, however, you do not find the recipient to whom you have transferred funds in error, contact an AccèsD service advisor who will advise you on the best way to sort out the situation. AccèsD service advisors may be reached at the following numbers:
Yes. The daily limit for a money transfer from a caisse account or VISA Desjardins is the same as the limit for inter-caisse transactions. This is a daily limit, not a limit per transaction. Each caisse sets the limit for its members, not AccèsD. If you would like to find out what this limit is or change it, please contact a caisse advisor.
If you run a home day care centre or own a rental property of four units or less, Desjardins suggests you recommend this solution to your clients and tenants.
Before letting your tenants or clients know about money transfers and how easy they make paying rent or day care fees, make sure you yourself are registered for the AccèsD Internet service. This way you'll have easy access to your accounts and the payments made to them.
Then follow these three easy steps to introduce your clients to money transfers.
First make sure you ask the right people to make money transfers. Avoid offering the service to people you do not trust or who have had problems paying you in the past. And, since the service is only available to Desjardins members, make sure you only approach those who pay you with Desjardins cheques or who you know have an account in a Desjardins caisse.
For home day care centres (PDF format, 136 KB)
For owners of rental properties of four units or less (PDF format, 136 KB)
We've prepared a document to help you approach your tenants or clients about money transfers. Print it out and fill out the center section. You'll find the information you need at the bottom of your cheques.

If you do not have a cheque specimen in your possession, contact an advisor at a Desjardins caisse.
Now you can give the leaflet to tenants and clients who are Desjardins members to encourage them to pay you by way of money transfers. If you are an AccèsD Internet user, don't hesitate to let them know how convenient AccèsD is if they don't already use it and have Internet access.
Caisse members can receive money from bank customers via e-mail. Funds are transferred into the member's account by direct deposit and an Interac money transfer notice is sent by e-mail. Recipients receive funds within three to five business days. A $2.50 fee is debited from the deposit amount.
Interac Email Money Transfers enables account holders at various financial institutions to receive funds. The service is currently offered by five Canadian banks (Royal Bank, CIBC, Bank of Montreal, Scotiabank and TD Bank).
Did you know? The way you manage your money on a day-to-day basis impacts the environment. Driving to the caisse or ATM contributes to greenhouse gases and getting your statements by mail instead of electronically increases paper consumption. |
