Who should get this investment?

Savers who want to take advantage of generally higher interest rates for investments with longer terms. Ideal if you want your investments to mature at different times: an investment technique called laddering. You can choose to cash in or reinvest funds at each maturity date.

Redemption terms	Option to withdraw all or part of one of the segments. When a segment is renewed, an additional deposit can be invested in that segment only.

Other	Maturity dates are spread out, making it possible to benefit from changing interest rates. Desjardins caisses in Quebec are registered with the Autorité des marchés financiers, in conformity with the terms of the Deposit Insurance Act. In Ontario, deposits in registered savings plans are insured for their total amount by the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario. Other deposits in Canadian dollars are insured up to $100,000.
