Who should get this investment?

Savers who want to build capital to pay for a child's future post-secondary education. Ideal if you want to grow your money in a tax-sheltered investment that your children, grandchildren or any close child can use to cover educational expenses.

Investment options
Deposit amount and frequency
  • Flexible.
  • Can be changed at any time.
  • Frequency of transfers: weekly, every 2 weeks or monthly.
Beneficiaries and transfers
  • You are free to designate a different beneficiary at any time, including yourself if you decide to go back to school (under certain conditions).
  • If beneficiary decides not to pursue his or her studies, you may be able to transfer the RESP funds into your RRSP2.
Insurance
The beneficiary and his or her family get 6 months of Superior Accirance accident insurance when the RESP is opened.

Make an appointment with a caisse advisor:

1. Unless your contributions are invested in a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC). If so, withdrawal may be made without penalty at maturity.
2. Certain conditions apply.
