Who should get this account?

Students who are eligible for the D Capital Solution and who are enrolled in one of the following programs of study:

actuarial studies chiropractic law (attorney, notary) medicine dentistry veterinary medicine

optometry pharmacy pharmacology podiatry accounting (CA, CGA, CMA) engineering (all fields)

Features

Transactions	Deposits, withdrawals, cheques, transfers, bill payments and debit card purchases.
Access to your account	You can use your Desjardins Access Card (debit card) to make all your regular transactions at Desjardins caisses, ATMs and, at any time, via AccèsD Internet, Desjardins mobile services† and AccèsD Telephone. Find out more about: AccèsD Internet the Desjardins Access Card
Interest	Interest paid monthly.
Monthly fees	No service charges if you: have a Student STRATEGIC Line of Credit; and are a student enrolled in one of the following fields of study: law, actuarial studies, engineering, medicine, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy or pharmacology. Otherwise, unlimited transaction plan including many complementary services is available to full-time students aged 18 to 25 for only $2.95 per month2 ($11 less than The Premier Plan).
Account statement	Get free monthly statements of account by mail or online. Find out more about monthly statements of accounts.
Insured deposits	Deposits insured up to $100,000 per person per caisse. In Ontario, Canadian dollar deposits are insured up to $100,000 by the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario. Find out more about deposit insurance (FAQ).
Overdraft protection	You can add overdraft protection to your account (Canadian currency only) to cover transactions that exceed your account balance using an automatic cash advance from your VISA Desjardins credit card. 	At the caisse	Members Make an appointment with a caisse advisor: online by phone Non-members To open an account, you must first become a member of a caisse.

1. To benefit from an account free of charge, students must have a Student Advantage Line of Credit. Students in some fields of study are not eligible for a free account. An unlimited transaction plan is available to full-time students aged 18 to 25 for only $2.95 per month.
2. Members who received a $4 rebate prior to July 1, 2011, may continue to receive the rebate or sign up for the new $2.95 monthly rate. To take advantage of the unlimited transaction plan for $2.95 a month, please request the change at your caisse or by phone at 1-800-CAISSES. Members who already have the Premier plan will automatically benefit from the lower, $2.95 a month rate.
