Coverage and benefits

Credit Balance Insurance - Individuals consists of four types of coverage that apply to current account transactions linked with your card:

• Death or dismemberment coverage
• Disability coverage
• Involuntary loss of employment coverage
• Critical illness coverage

Death or dismemberment coverage, critical illness coverage

In the event you or your spouse die, are dismembered or are first diagnosed with a critical illness, the insurance can help you repay the purchases made with your Desjardins VISA card, up to a maximum of $25,000.

In the event of accidental death, the amount to be paid is automatically doubled¹.

Disability coverage, loss of employment coverage

In the event you or your spouse become disabled, or involuntarily lose your employment, Credit Balance Insurance pays you a benefit corresponding to 10% of the balance of current transactions listed on your statement and the Accord D Desjardins financing monthly payment, up to $750.
