Savings-Life Insurance
Savings-Life Insurance protects both you and your family from the financial consequences of a death. It is attached to the various savings accounts offered by your caisse and can be used to cover the funeral expenses and financial obligations of the deceased person.
Advantages
- Provides a small amount of life insurance (i.e. $10,000).
- Tax-free benefits. When an insured dies, his estate receives an amount that could offset the taxes payable when his RRSP is cashed in. Making a claim
- Low premiums, since Savings-Life Insurance is a group insurance product.
- Access to some of the following GPS Program assistance services: Psychological Assistance, Convalescence Assistance, Estate Settlement Assistance and Legal Assistance.
