Buying a home is exciting but it can be stressful too. Everyone wants a home they love, but they still want to have a life. I surfed the Net and came across the Desjardins Home Guide (PDF, 420 KB), it's full of very practical home-buying tips.

First, we calculated the monthly payments for the home we wanted. We wanted to find out how much we could borrow. At the caisse, our advisor told us what else we should consider, like the start-up costs (PDF, 98 KB) and home insurance.
