From the moment you open an account at a Desjardins caisse, you become a member of a savings and credit cooperative. This means that, like each caisse member, your caisse belongs to you and you have the right to vote at the caisse Annual General Meeting.

Documents required to become a member (open an account) 2 pieces of valid ID (i.e., valid driver's license issued in Canada, social insurance card, provincial health insurance card, Desjardins Access Card, passport). $5, i.e. the qualifying share, which is the amount required to become a member.
