Caisses Desjardins du Québec and Caisses populaires de l'Ontario [Change site]
Do you often travel outside the country? Did you know that Desjardins has foreign currency ATMs that dispense U.S. dollars and euros? They are available to Desjardins members and bank clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The daily withdrawal limit is 400 euros or U.S. dollars per transaction, up to your card limit. For example, if you have a card with a $1,000 limit, you can make a transaction for an amount under that limit, keeping in mind the exchange rate and fees1. The exchange rate is the same as the one for transactions made at the teller counter. On holidays and weekends, the previous business day's exchange rate applies.
Foreign currency ATM users can make withdrawals from their Canadian dollar chequing and savings accounts, or from their credit cards. However, withdrawals from U.S. dollar accounts are not permitted since these accounts don't have debit cards. The ATMs are easy to use and features the same security standards as regular Desjardins ATMs.
