Risk associated with the investor

The degree of risk is also determined by the investor's behaviour. For example, the investor may decide to sell off a stock or mutual fund at the wrong time, i.e. when it is low. The return will probably be less than the historical average, and so there is a greater risk of losing part of the investment.
