The interest from your Market-linked guaranteed investments

What are Market-linked guaranteed investments? They are savingsinvestment products where the return is calculated at maturity, totally or partially, and based on the performance of one or more market indexes.

The invested capital is 100% guaranteed.

The return is known only at maturity and must be included in your income. In general, if the market-linked guaranteed investments are outside of an RRSP, the interest is taxable when it is known. Likewise, the interest must also be declared if you selected the freeze option.
