Desjardins Youth Profit Account

No-fee chequing account for young people under 18.

Here are some of the advantages:

  • Interest rate higher than those of traditional accounts.

Desjardins Chrome@dos Program

This program is designed to inform and entertain 12- to 17-year-old Desjardins caisse members, while encouraging them to develop good savings habits.

To become Chrome@dos members, teens must fill out the online application. It’s free!

Here are some of the advantages and privileges offered exclusively to Chrome@dos members:

  • Desjardins Chromatic Savings is a savings plan that offers a higher interest rate to encourage teens to save. There’s also a contest that gives teens who reach their objective the chance to win the equivalent of their savings (up to $500).
  • Information bulletins that discuss current events, provide financial information and describe the current Chrome@dos contest.
  • A birthday card with a special gift: a music CD offered only to Chrome@dos members.
  • Year-round, exclusive contests described in information bulletins or the world of Chrome@dos.
  • A membership card to get tons of discounts and privileges at several Chrome@dos merchants.

Service for which any member who has a Desjardins Access Card can register. A few advantages:

  • Access your accounts securely at any time online or by phone.
  • Make a variety of transactions on your accounts in a matter of minutes.

Accident insurance (Accirance)

Accirance protects you against the financial consequences of an accident, anytime and anywhere around the world!

Here are some of the advantages:

  • Children are automatically insured 15 days after their birth if an Accirance contract is already in force.
  • You get complimentary access to telephone assistance services, such as Convalescence Assistance, Psychological Assistance and Health Assistance.

Desjardins Savings-Life insurance

Simple and accessible, this insurance protects you and your family from the financial repercussions linked to a death.

Here are some of the advantages:

  • You can take out a policy for only a small amount (e.g.: $10,000).
  • Low premiums, since Savings-Life Insurance is a group insurance product.

Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP)

The RESP:

  • the Canada Learning Bond (CLB), subject to certain conditions
  • the Quebec education savings incentive (QESI)
