What you need to know about working in Canada

• To work, you need a Social Insurance Number (SIN). To apply for a social insurance number, go to a Service Canada office.
• You can work part-time, full-time, of start your own business. Desjardins also offers a full range of financial products and services to business owners.
• Before you start your job search, get together al the documents you need: letters of recommendation, degrees and diplomas, resume, etc.
• You can find job offers online (e.g. Job Bank, Emploi Québec), in local newspapers and in recruiting agencies.
