One thing's for sure: La Barberie's Stout impériale is brewed by the owners themselves, like the Blanche de Trois-Rivières by the Frères Houblon. The La Barberie and Frères Houblon breweries are work cooperatives, which means that they belong to the employees. In this type of organization, workers participate in the decision-making process and receive a share of the company's profits.
