School loans, bursaries and debts: a survival guide

You've decided to continue your studies but you may need a loan. No problem: You can apply for a loan from the Aide financière aux études (AFE), also known as the Government Loans and Bursaries Program.

Financial assistance can help you cut back on the hours you work or even help you avoid having to work at all, which would contribute to your academic success. However, you will have debts to repay.

Do you have questions about student loans? Read My Finances, well in Hand (PDF, 494 KB), a production of Mes finances - Ma caisse magazine. Ask for a copy at your caisse. Do you live in Ontario? Some items may not apply to students in your province. Another edition has been published for Ontario. Read the entire document (PDF format, 419 KB).

There is also a lot of information on the Answers to your questions page.
