Desjardins is not only there to help you with your finances; we also want to help you with your career. Making sure you succeed on the job market is important to us.
Start by determining the kind of job that would suit you best: the geographic location of the company, the salary and benefits you're looking for, opportunities for advancement within the company, etc.
Next, contact your former colleagues, friends, family, and professors to let them know you are looking for a job. Word of mouth is often more effective than you might expect since over 80% of jobs are found through contacts.
Target the companies you would like to work for and visit their Web sites. Keep an eye on job offers in newspapers or professional publications.
All that's left to do is carefully prepare your resume and interview
For tips to guide you through the steps required to find and keep a job, visit the Looking for a job section.
