Caisses Desjardins du Québec and Caisses populaires de l'Ontario [Change site]
Subject to applicable legislation, these rules and regulations govern all aspects of the $5,000 Savings contest and are binding on the participants.
The $5,000 Savings contest runs from January 16, 2009 to March 31, 2009, at 11:59 p.m., Eastern Time. This contest consists of a random draw among all participants who entered the contest and correctly answered the Desjardins question. No purchase required.
This contest is open exclusively to people between the ages of 18 and 30 who are members of a Desjardins caisse in the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec or of a caisse populaire in the Fédération des caisses populaires de l'Ontario Inc.
PRIZES: 5 prizes of $1,000 each, in the form of a term savings deposit with a minimum term of 6 months, non-redeemable, for a total value of $5,000.
Should the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec be unable to provide the prizes as described above, it reserves the right to substitute them, in whole or in part, by other prizes worth approximately the same amount.
To enter, participants must go to www.desjardins.com/students, fill out the entry form in the "My contests and entertainment" section and send it by clicking on the Submit button at the bottom of the form.
A participant may not submit more than 1 entry form and can only win 1 prize.
The Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, the Fédération des caisses populaires de l'Ontario Inc. and their member caisses and subsidiaries do not assume any responsibility for lost, erroneous, fraudulent or delayed electronic entry forms or for any malfunction of the Web site for any reason whatsoever during the contest.
The 5 prizes will be will be awarded in a random draw among all eligible entries received during the contest period, to be held on April 2, 2009 before 4 :00 p.m., Eastern Time in the offices of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec located at 3155 Assomption Boulevard, Montreal, Quebec. The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received. Winners must have correctly answered the Desjardins question, abide by all the terms and conditions of these rules and provide proof of age to claim their prize.
Prizes must be accepted as is, and no transfers, exchanges or substitutions will be allowed. Prizes will be awarded by the member's caisse or by the caisse in the area in which the winner resides.
The following persons are not eligible to enter this contest: persons who, during the contest period or at the time of the draw, are:
Persons who reside with these employees, agents or representatives during the contest period or at the time of the draw are also not eligible to enter the contest.
A representative of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec will contact each winner by phone or mail within 2 weeks of the draw. Prizes can only be claimed with proof of age by the persons entered in the contest. Winners release the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, the Fédération des caisses populaires de l'Ontario Inc., their member caisses and subsidiaries from any liability with respect to damages or losses arising from participation in the contest, the awarding or use of a prize, its quality, any defects in the prize, its loss and any damages which may occur in transit.
Winners agree that the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec and the Fédération des caisses populaires de l'Ontario Inc., their member caisses and subsidiaries may use their name, place of residence, photograph, voice and any statement made with regard to the contest, for promotional purposes, without additional payment or consideration. Winners must sign a consent form if so required by the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec.
Refusal to accept a prize releases the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, the Fédération des caisses populaires de l'Ontario Inc. and their member caisses and subsidiaries from any obligation related thereto.
The Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec reserves the right to terminate this contest should circumstances beyond its control arise, preventing it from continuing it. In such instance, it may not, in any way, be held responsible.
All persons who enter the contest agree to be bound by these rules and regulations, and decisions of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec in relation thereto will be final and without appeal.
The Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, the Fédération des caisses populaires de l'Ontario Inc. and their member caisses and subsidiaries as well as the people for whom this contest is organized will not assume any responsibility whatsoever in the event that they are unable to act due to situations or circumstances beyond their control, or due to a strike, lockout or any other labour dispute occurring in the places of business of the organizations or companies whose services are retained to hold this contest.
