Are you wondering what the difference is between a caisse and a bank? It's simple. Desjardins members become co-owners of their caisse when they pay the $5 qualifying share.
As a member, you can vote on how your caisse distributes member dividends. When the caisse makes profits, part of its surplus earnings may be returned to members and another part deposited into a social fund that:
