Student caisse

What's a student caisse?

A student caisse is a mini-credit union in a high school that is managed and administered entirely by student volunteers, providing services for students and their associations. There are approximately 90 student caisses in Quebec and Ontario high schools.

At the student caisse, students are the sole owners and managers of their accounts. If your school has one, it is the best place to obtain advice and services that will help you achieve your dreams. Student caisses offer the following services:

  • An account for your regular transactions.
  • Access to term savings with higher returns when you have saved up a large enough amount.
  • Good interest rates.
  • A service counter in the school, with business hours adapted to the students' needs.
  • Access to your account even during vacations.
