Accirance, Personal Accident Insurance

Why is it important?
Even if you follow all the safety precautions, an accident can happen in the blink of an eye!

Before you decide to let go and cut loose, you have to make sure that if you ever have an accident, your parents can continue to provide for all of your needs.

What is accident insurance?
It is insurance that helps you (or your parents) pay for some accident-related expenses: ambulance, wheelchair rental and adaptation of your home.

Also, if you are still in school and under the age of 25, Accirance pays for the cost of private courses, school transportation and retraining if you become totally disabled following an accident.

An accident might also happen to you: a real life case
An 8-year-old child had gone snowmobiling with his grandfather and severely froze both his feet. He was taken to the local hospital where his condition was diagnosed as critical and amputation was the likely outcome. He was immediately sent to a children's hospital.

Accirance paid for the expenses:

  • ambulance transportation to the hospital
  • hospitalization expenses in a private room for approximately 30 days ($55 a day)
  • rental of a wheelchair, crutches and a cane
  • purchase of artificial limbs and medication
  • physiotherapy treatments
  • tutoring to make up for missed school

Accirance provided precious financial support to the victim and his family.
