For all independent Quebec bands that find a way to gain fame without the support of a major record label.
The band Your Favourite Enemies now has fans throughout the world thanks to its MySpace page. They've sold over 30,000 copies of their self-produced demo and given shows in Europe, Japan and Indonesia, all the while maintaining control over
every aspect of the band's career.

For the last self-titled album Weezer (also called the Red Album). I am an undying fan of the band, but for the first time, Weezer has disappointed me. It's surprising to see a band that's been
around more than 15 years appear to be floundering for ideas. Despite a few good songs, such as the excellent first single Pork and Beans, we're a far cry from the band's classic records, such as the second album Pinkerton. |
