1. Why sign up for Chrome?

Because it gives you access to an attractive savings plan created specially for you: Chromatic Savings. It also lets you enter contests, participate in special activities, get partner discounts, receive information about subjects that mean a lot to you, etc. Plus, it's free!

2. Is the Chrome card a credit card?

No, the Chrome card is not a credit card or a debit card. It's simply a privilege card that gives you discounts at various partners. You decide if you want to use it.

The card is only part of the program. There is also a support and education component on saving money and numerous contests and activities.

3. Do I need my parents' authorization to participate in the Chrome program?

Parental authorization is required to register for members under the age of 14. Also, a parent needs to give consent for anyone who wins a Chrome contest.

4. How do I become a member?

Use the online sign-up form in the Become a member section of the site. You can also obtain a mail-in form at any Chrome partner location and at Desjardins caisses.

5. How much does it cost?

Membership in the Chrome program is now FREE for teen Desjardins members.

6. Do I need to have an account at Desjardins to sign up for Chrome?

Since Chrome is intended for young Desjardins members, you need to open an account in a Quebec or Ontario caisse first. It's easy - just drop in at the caisse closest to you and ask them to open a new account for you.

7. Once I send my sign-up form, how long will it take for me to receive my Chrome welcome kit?

Delivery takes from 4 to 6 weeks. Your kit will include the Chrome card and information about our partners and the program.

8. What is the rate for Desjardins Chromatic Savings?

The rate for Chrome members is 1% more than the rate for conventional non-redeemable one-year term savings. This rate is fixed for a given term, which can be 6 or 12 months. The savings objective must be a minimum of $100.

9. Can I withdraw my savings whenever I want?

Yes, of course! The savings plan allows total withdrawals at any time and partial withdrawals of at least $50.

10. How will I receive information about Chrome activities and news?

You can find out about our news by coming back to visit the Chrome channel. You will also receive communication by mail or e-mail (if you give us your e-mail address) about the latest scoops. To be sure you don't miss anything, send us your e-mail address! Just fill out the personal information form in the Members-only section.

11. Can I lend my Chrome card to my friends?

No. A Chrome card can only be used by its holder. The member number that appears on your card is your exclusive number.
