How to become a member

The Chrome program is free to teenage Desjardins members.

To become a Chrome member, you must have an account in a Desjardins caisse in Quebec or a caisse populaire in Ontario.

Message to parents

The Chrome program is an initiative of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec for young people under 18. To become a Chrome member, there are only two conditions:

• be an adolescent; and
• have an account in a Desjardins caisse in Quebec or a caisse populaire in Ontario.

A parent's signature is required for any transaction between Chrome and its members under 14 years of age.

Want to open a Desjardins account? It couldn't be easier.

1. Call the Desjardins caisse near your home to make an appointment with an advisor.
2. Bring two pieces of picture ID, as well as your social insurance card.
3. Bring $5.00 along too. This is how much it costs to become a member of a caisse; it pays for your membership share (qualifying share) and entitles you to many advantages, including member dividends.
