Subject to applicable legislation, these rules and regulations govern all aspects of the Win a WiiTM contest, and are binding on the contestants.
The Win a WiiTM contest will be held from May 26, 2008 to September 16, 2008, 11:59 p.m., Eastern Time. The contest consists of a random draw among all contestants who have entered the contest and
correctly answered the Chrome question. No purchase is necessary.
This contest is open exclusively to residents of Quebec or Ontario aged 12 to 17, inclusively, who are members of a Desjardins caisse of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec or of a caisse
populaire belonging to the Fédération des caisses populaires de l'Ontario inc. and have registered for the Chrome program.
There are 10 prizes to be won, with a total value of $3,000. These prizes consist of:
- 1 of 10 Nintendo WiiTM game consoles.
Should the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec be unable to provide the prizes as described above, it reserves the right to substitute them, in whole or in part, by other prizes worth approximately the same amount.
To enter, contestants must fill out the entry form located in the "Chrome contests" tab of the Chrome world of the Teen section (www.desjardins.com/chromecontests) and submit it by clicking on the Submit button at the bottom of the form or fill
out and mail back the form they received in the mail to: Win a WiiTM contest, 100, avenue des Commandeurs, Lévis (Québec) G6V 7N5. Mailed entries must be received no later than the last business day
before the contest closing date, September 16, 2008 at 11:59 p.m. Chrome members who have not received an entry form by mail may request one by calling 1-866-224-7663.
A contestant may not submit more than one entry form or win this contest more than once.
The Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, the Fédération des caisses populaires de l'Ontario inc., and their caisses and subsidiaries do not assume any responsibility for lost,
erroneous, fraudulent or delayed electronic entry forms or for any malfunction of the Web site for any reason whatsoever during the contest period.
The prizes will be awarded in a random draw among all eligible entries received during the contest period. The draw will be held on September 21, 2008, before 4:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on the ground floor of the offices of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, located at 95, des Commandeurs, Lévis, Quebec. The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received. Winners must have
correctly answered the Chrome question and must agree to abide by all the terms and conditions of these rules and regulations to claim their prize.
Prize must be accepted as is, and no transfers, exchanges or substitutions will be allowed. The manner in which prizes will be awarded will be explained to the winners' parents by telephone.
The following persons are not eligible to enter this contest: persons who, during the contest period or at the time of the draws are:
- executives of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec's Financial Services Division;
- employees of the Internet Solutions Evolution and Operations Unit of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec's Financial Services Division;
- employees of the Marketing Department of the Marketing and Development Division of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec;
- employees of the Business Development Department of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec;
- employees of the Legal Counsel to the Fédération department in the Legal Affairs and Compliance Division of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec;
- employees of the Autonomous Regular Systems Unit of the Development and Client Relations Division with the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec;
- employees of the Notes Systems Unit of the Development and Client Relations Division with the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec;
- employees of the Communications and Public Affairs Division, Desjardins Group.
Persons residing with said employees, agents or representatives are also ineligible for the contest.
A representative of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec will contact the winners' parents by telephone within one week of the draw. A winner's parents must be reached within three attempts,
or the winner will lose his right to the prize. The prize will then be awarded to a person whose name is randomly drawn, and the same procedure followed until all winners have been designated. The manner in which prizes will be awarded will be agreed
upon with the winners' parents by the telephone.
If a winner resides in Quebec, his prize can only be claimed by the person entered in the contest, with written consent of one of his parents or guardians, who must confirm the contestant's age and release the Fédération
des caisses Desjardins du Québec, the Fédération des caisses populaires de l'Ontario Inc. and their caisses and subsidiaries from any liability with respect to damages or losses arising from participation in the contest, the
awarding of a prize, its quality, any damages which may occur in transit or its use.
If a winner resides in Ontario, his prize may only be claimed by a parent with whom he resides or by a person who has lawful custody of the winner. In writing, one of these individuals will confirm the age of the contestant, receive the prize and
release the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, the Fédération des caisses populaires de l'Ontario Inc. and their caisses and subsidiaries from any liability with
respect to damages or losses arising from participation in the contest, the awarding of a prize, its quality, any damages which may occur in transit or its use.
A parent or legal guardian of a winner must agree in writing that the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, the Fédération des caisses populaires de l'Ontario
Inc. and their caisses and subsidiaries may use the winner's name, place of residence, photograph, image and voice and any statement made with regard to the contest, for promotional purposes, without additional payment or consideration and sign a
statement to this effect if required by the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec.
Refusal to accept a prize releases the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec and the Fédération des caisses populaires de l'Ontario inc., its member caisses,
its subsidiaries and the Fondation Desjardins from any obligation related thereto.
The Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec reserve the right to terminate this contest should circumstances beyond their control arise preventing them from continuing it. In such instance, they may
not, in any way, be held responsible.
All persons who enter the contest agree to be bound by these rules and regulations, and decisions of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec in relation thereto shall be final and without
appeal.
The Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, the Fédération des caisses populaires de l'Ontario Inc. and their caisses and subsidiaries shall not assume any
responsibility whatsoever in the event that they are unable to act due to situations or circumstances beyond their control, or due to a strike, lockout or any other labour dispute occurring in the places of business of the organizations or companies
whose services are retained to hold this contest.
