

Your CV must be accompanied by a cover letter.
Caution: Employers aren't looking for a summary of your CV. They want to assess your motivation to work for their company. Therefore, the content should be dynamic and convincing.
Write the first version of your cover letter and then make sure you personalize it to meet the specific needs of each position you apply for. The letter must be adapted each time and should never feel like rehash.
A cover letter is usually four paragraphs long:

With a bit of training, I am certain that I could operate the cash register skilfully. Moreover, I am proactive and enjoy teamwork. I am certain I could contribute to your company.
Attached is my Curriculum Vitae, listing my experience and interests. I would like to meet with you to discuss the job offer in greater detail. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
