Rules

Contest Description and Duration

1. The "Place in the Sun" contest, organized by My Money, a magazine published by the Communications and Public Affairs Division of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec (hereinafter the "Fédération"), will run from 12:01 a.m. (EDT) on Sunday, January 20, 2008 to 11:59 p.m. (EDT), Friday , September 26, 2008.

Eligibility

2. The contest is open exclusively to Canadian residents who have reached the age of majority in their province of residence and who are individual members of a Desjardins caisse in Québec, a caisse populaire of the Fédération des caisses populaires de l'Ontario inc. or a branch of Desjardins Credit Union inc. (hereinafter "members"). The following persons are excluded:
1. Employees, managers and officers of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, the Fédération des caisses populaires de l'Ontario inc., their member caisses, their subsidiaries, including Desjardins Credit Union inc., and all other entities of Desjardins Group, as well as anyone with whom they are domiciled.
2. Employees, managers, directors and officers of Eventus, as well as anyone with whom they are domiciled.
3. Employees, managers, directors and officers of Club Med, as well as anyone with whom they are domiciled.

How to Enter

3. No purchase required. To enter the contest, eligible members must give their name, address, telephone number, the name of their caisse or branch, as well as the answer to the question appearing on the electronic form available online at the following addresses:

4. Limit of one qualifying entry per person.

Prize

5. One prize will be awarded, consisting of a one-week vacation package, valued at approximately CAD$11,000, for two (2) adults and two (2) children (under 15 years of age) to the North American Club Med of the winner's choice (Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, Cancun, Yucatan or Ixtapa in Mexico and La Caravelle in Guadeloupe). The following conditions apply:
1. The prize will be confirmed by a letter from Club Med, with whom the winner must use the vacation package.
2. The vacation package must be used by November 30, 2009, at the latest, and excludes the weeks of Christmas, New Year, school breaks and the construction holiday.
3. The package includes:
   • 7 nights' accommodation (quadruple occupancy) in a superior category room
   • Air transportation on Club Med charter flights as well as transfers
   • Three (3) buffet meals per day
   • Open bar and snacks outside meal times
   • A wide variety of land and water sports activities
   • Shows and entertainment every evening
4. The package does not include:
   • Cost of travel between the winner's residence and the Montréal-Trudeau airport
   • Optional excursions
   • Personal purchases
   • Everything else not included in (c)
5. Reservations are subject to availability at the time of booking and may be confirmed four (4) weeks before departure. They cannot be combined with any other promotion.
6. Once the reservation has been made, no changes will be permitted.
7. This offer cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred or extended.
8. In case of cancellation, for any reason, the trip cannot be postponed to a later date.

Drawing

6. The winners will be selected in a random drawing which will be carried out electronically on October 15, 2008 at 10 a.m., in the presence of witnesses, in the offices of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, located on the ground floor of 3155, Boulevard de l'Assomption, in Montréal, Québec.
7. The chances that a member's name will be drawn at random depend on the number of eligible participants who meet all contest terms and conditions.

General conditions

8. To be declared the winner, the randomly selected member must meet the following other terms and conditions:
1. Be contacted by the contest organizers within ten days following the date of the drawing
2. Confirm that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other requirements set forth by these Contest Rules
3. Have correctly answered the question on the electronic form
4. Sign the declaration and waiver of responsibility form (hereinafter called the "Declaration form") that will be forwarded to them by the contest organizers by mail, fax or e-mail and return it to the contest organizers within 15 days following receipt.

Failure to meet the above-mentioned conditions or any other condition herein, the selected persons will be disqualified and another draw will be held in keeping with these contest rules, until other contestants are selected and declared the winners of the prizes. The same rules will apply by making the appropriate changes, as the case may be.

9. Within 15 days of receiving the signed Declaration form, contest organizers will forward a letter to the winners informing them on how to take possession of their prize. Refusal to accept the prize by the persons selected releases contest organizers from any and all obligations regarding the awarding of the prizes. In this case and at their only discretion, contest organizers may hold a new draw as described in the previous section.By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to abide by these Rules and by the decisions of the Fédération, which is administering the contest and whose decisions are final and without appeal.
10. Prizes must be accepted as described in the present contest rules and cannot be transferred, substituted for another prize or exchanged in whole or in part for cash, except as provided in the section below.
11. In the event that the contest organizers cannot award the prizes (or a portion of the prizes) as described in these contest rules, they reserve their right to award like prizes (or a portion of the prizes) of equivalent value, or at their sole discretion, the prize cash value as indicated herein, or as the case may be, the portion of prize value.
12. The selected person releases the Fédération and those persons for whose benefit this contest is being held from any liability for any damages they may incur due to his/her acceptance or use of the prize and recognizes that, upon receipt of a letter confirming his/her prize, the execution of the obligations related to the prize shall become the entire and exclusive responsibility of the various suppliers of products and services. In order to be declared a winner and prior to receiving the prize, the selected person shall agree to sign a Declaration Form to that effect. Any guest accompanying the winner on a trip (parent or guardian in the case of a minor guest) must also sign the Declaration Form, failing which he/she shall not participate in the trip.
13. The Fédération reserves the right to stop the contest, at its sole discretion, if events beyond its control prevent it from being continued. In such a case, it cannot be held liable.
14. The Fédération and persons for whom this contest is held shall not be liable for lost, misdirected or late entry ballots, including those due to problems with postal services, or for any problem with the Web site due to any cause whatsoever, including any damage to a participant's computer, for the duration of the contest.
15. The Fédération and those persons for whose benefit this contest is being held shall not be liable in any way if their inability to act results from an event or situation beyond their control, or a strike, a lock-out or any other labour conflict in the establishments of organizations or enterprises whose services are being used to hold this contest.
16. By accepting the prize, the winner authorizes the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, the Fédération des caisses populaires de l'Ontario inc. as well as their member caisses and subsidiaries to use his/her name, place of residence, photograph, image, voice and/or statement regarding the prize for advertising purposes, without any remuneration whatsoever.
17. Personal information obtained from participants will be used only to administer the contest. No advertising communication or other type of communications unrelated to this contest will be sent to participants unless the participants have expressly authorized Desjardins to do so on their entry form.

19. Should the French or English version of these contest rules differs, the French version will prevail.
20. This contest is subject to all applicable laws.
