Desjardins Energy-Efficiency Loan

Desjardins designed the Energy-Efficiency Loan for businesses who want to modernize their equipment and buildings in order to reduce their energy bill and greenhouse gas emissions.

The Desjardins Energy-Efficiency Loan supports businesses committed to reducing their greenhouse gas emissions and is intended for entrepreneurs benefitting from the financial support¹ of the Agence de l'efficacité énergétique, Hydro-Québec or the ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l'Alimentation du Québec (MAPAQ) (in French only).

Features

• Fixed or variable interest rate
• Repayment amortization period, terms and conditions based on projected savings following energy-efficiency work.
• Financing up to 100% of the total cost of modifications.
• Possible repayment pause while modifications are made.
• Compensation equivalent to 50 basis points on December 31 loan balance of each year².
• Loan Insurance in the event of death or disability.

1. Talk to a Desjardins account manager to find out which government programs make you eligible for the Desjardins Energy-Efficiency Loan.
2. Carbon credits purchased annually by Desjardins for and on behalf of the member and equivalent to 0.5% of the December 31 loan balance of each year, but not exceeding $7,500.
