Partner Death or Disability

Allows a partner to get the funds required to buy another partner’s shares in the event he or she dies.

For companies in operation for at least 3 years.

Features

• Partners who have signed a buy-sell agreement are covered in the event of death or total and permanent disability¹ persisting at least 24 months.
• A financial security advisor² will help you establish coverage amount based on a needs analysis.
• If coverage is taken out as part of the Business Partner Solution, coverage amount increases when:
• the company value increases or the percentage of shares held by partners changes
• a benefit is paid as a result of disability or death of a business partner
• Available to individuals aged 18 to 55.
• Cost: varies according to coverage selected and personal factors (age, gender, smoker or non-smoker, general health, etc.).
• Duration of coverage:
• disability: up to age 60
• death: insured’s lifetime

Advantages

• If your buy-sell agreement specifies that you can buy back a partner’s shares in the event of critical illness, you can obtain complementary critical illness coverage.
