Guaranteed insurability

Gives the insured the right to obtain new death coverage during election periods without having to provide evidence of insurability (based on age, general health, lifestyle, etc.).

Features

• Coverage amount: $25,000 to $100,000.
• Available to individuals aged 0 to 40.
• Cost varies according to coverage selected and personal factors (age, gender, smoker or non-smoker, general health, etc.).
• Coverage amount may be increased every 5 years (up to a maximum of 5 increases).

Advantages

• Coverage amount can be increased even if insured’s general health declines.
• When selected for a child, ensures he or she will be able to obtain death coverage as an adult without regardless of general health, employment or lifestyle.
• Election periods may be exercised in advance following any one of these events: marriage, purchase of a home, birth or legal adoption of a child.
• You may add insureds to your contract as well as additional Vision coverages such as disability, critical illness, health or loss of independence insurance.
• You benefit from other Vision contract advantages such as basic coverages and complimentary access to some of the following GPS Program assistance services at no extra charge: Convalescence Assistance – referrals, Legal Assistance, Estate Settlement Assistance et Travel Assistance.
