• Monthly benefit
  • Amount of $1,000 to $8,500 as selected at the time of the contract
  • Benefit period: 2 years, 5 years, or lifetime
  • Waiting period: 30, 90 or 180 days
  • Option of applying cost of living increase to monthly benefit.
• Accident insurance
  • Lump sum benefit in the event of:
    • dismemberment of loss of use (up to a maximum of $500,000)
    • fracture (up to a maximum of $7,500)
    • accidental death (up to a maximum of $50,000)
• Reimbursement of expenses incurred to draw up a mandate in case of incapacity by a notary or lawyer (up to a maximum of $100)
• Personalized assistance services in the event of loss of independence:
  • a nurse contacts the insured to evaluate his or her home care needs and offers to identify service providers and coordinate delivery of services
  • short-term psychological support to the insured in a state of major impairment and his or her family
• Available to individuals aged 18 to 80.
• Cost is based on benefit amount selected and insured’s profile (age, gender, general health, etc.)
• Benefit period: lifetime.
