Disability – Monthly Expenses – Plus

Allows insured to meet covered company business expenses.

For the self-employed or sole owners of companies whose revenues would fall if they were to become disabled.

Features

• Coverage amount: maximum monthly benefit is selected at the time the contract is taken out and can vary between $500 and $5,000. For business expenses to be reimbursed, Insured must present invoices, receipts or other documentation proving that expenses were incurred.
• Eligible monthly business expenses include all those essential to business operations: rent, heating, electricity, business taxes, etc.
• Benefit period: up to a maximum of 24 months.
• Waiting period: 4 to 17 weeks.
• Available to individuals aged 18 to 60.
• Cost is based on the criteria selected and the insured’s profile, including monthly benefit amount, waiting period, insured’s employment category, province of residence, age, gender, and whether a smoker or non-smoker.
• Coverage period: until the age of 65.
