The company must strive to get closer to the foreign market and have access to raw materials and a qualified (and affordable) labour force to establish an operational structure there. The company has sufficient financial resources (or access to capital), knowledge of the industry and targeted market, and has the main assets required to ensure control over operations in the destination country. Investment incentives, tax provisions and laws protecting property rights are all favourable to foreign investment.
