Withdrawals
Early withdrawal penalty applies to withdrawals of principal prior to maturity.
Additional deposits
No additional deposits allowed before maturity.
Withdrawal before maturity

Early withdrawal penalty depends on the original certificate of deposit term.

  • 0 to 89 days: the penalty will be the highest of the 3 following options:

    • 7 days' interest on the amount withdrawn
    • all interest earned
    • half of the interest that would have been earned for the term
  • 90 to 364 days: 3 months' interest on the amount withdrawn
  • 1 to 5 years: 6 months' interest on the amount withdrawn
Renewal
Automatic renewal option may be elected at the time account is opened.
