$5 coin to commemorate the anniversary of Alphonse Desjardins's birth

The Royal Canadian Mint has issued a coin commemorating the 150th birthday of Alphonse Desjardins, the founder of Desjardins Group.

Only 15,000 collector's coins were minted, each with a face value of $5, representing the share price paid by Desjardins caisse members since the inception of the very first caisse. Coins come in a case with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
