Who should get this insurance?

All VISA Desjardins eligible cardholders ages 18 to 64, inclusive, are eligible who need to cover the balance of their current transactions on a VISA Desjardins card, including Accord D Desjardins financing1.

Coverage in the event of death or dismemberment, disability, involuntary loss of employment or critical illness2.

Eligibility
  • Whether or not your spouse is a joint credit card holder, he or she is automatically3 covered at no extra charge.
  • No health questions to answer for you or your spouse (see Benefits).
Premium
  • Affordable.
  • No premium is paid if the account balance is zero.

  1. Special conditions apply to Accord D Desjardins financing plans you applied for online, at your branch or by calling 1-866-DCUNION (1-866-328-6466).
  2. Critical illness means cancer, heart attack, stroke or terminal illness diagnosed by a physician.
  3. Subject to eligibility conditions.
