Eligibility

Regardless of whether you are a salaried employee, seasonal or self-employed worker, student or retiree, you are eligible if you are the:

  • borrower;
  • borrower's spouse; or
  • borrower's guarantor.

Age of eligibility

  • You must be under age 70 for life insurance.
  • You must be under age 65 and enrolled in the life insurance coverage for disability insurance.

Health questions

In most cases, eligibility for Loan Insurance is determined on the basis of a few medical questions asked when the person applies for the loan.
