Founded in 1970, Fondation Desjardins is well known for distributing more university scholarships than any other private foundation. It proudly encourages and supports young members of the next generation to pursue their studies and achieve their dreams and ambitions.

Education has always been a priority for Fondation Desjardins, which promotes knowledge as a way of contributing to the advancement of society and helping people reach their full potential. It aims to be the focal point of Desjardins Group's efforts in support of education and cooperation.

Fondation Desjardins partners and connects with Desjardins caisses and affiliates. It is a source of empowerment for Desjardins elected officers and employees, and it contributes to realizing the vision of Desjardins Group.

Fondation Desjardins gives many young people access to CEGEP, technical, vocational or post-secondary studies. It rewards excellence and encourages students to persevere until they receive their diploma.

Fondation Desjardins is much more than just scholarships

In addition to offering scholarship programs, Fondation Desjardins manages philanthropic partnerships, primarily major fundraising campaigns of university foundations. It also offers awards to recognize community involvement and volunteering efforts by officers, employees and members.

It also works to promote other Desjardins Group scholarships. In 2010, 3,500 scholarships for a total of $2.7 million were awarded by Desjardins caisses. Learn more about them at your caisse.

New scholarship programs

Our new scholarship programs reflect Fondation Desjardins's new vision, which places financial, cooperative and democratic education at the heart of its mission. Its new positioning also rests on the development of new expertise and knowledge.

Fondation Desjardinsparticularly supports the fields of finance, cooperation and democratic life. It also awards scholarships related to Desjardins employment fields.
