Q. Where do I find the total interest paid on a loan?
A. Interest paid on loans is displayed on the last statement of account of the year.
If you get your statements of account online, you'll find the information on your December statement (click on Monthly statement of account in the left-hand menu). The loan section is located towards the end of the statement and displays a summary of interest paid.
If you have not registered for online monthly statements of accounts, you should have received your statement in the mail. If you have not received your statement, please contact your Desjardins caisse.
Q. How do I make a line of credit payment on AccèsD?
A. Interest on a line of credit is calculated daily on the outstanding daily balance and payable at the end of the month.
You can make "principal only" payments on AccèsD Internet.
You can make "principal and interest" payments or "interest only" payments on AccèsD Telephone.
If you can't repay the principal and interest in full, it's to your advantage to make a principal only payment.

A. Usually, the downpayment is 20% of the smaller of these amounts:
- the purchase price
- the market value of the property
