A. Desjardins Card Services offers 4 Prestige cards: the VISA DESJARDINS Elegance GOLD card, the VISA Desjardins Modulo GOLD card, the VISA Desjardins Odyssey GOLD card and the VISA Desjardins GOLD card.
The VISA Desjardins GOLD card is no longer available but if you had it when it was removed from the market, you’ll still receive it when your credit card is renewed.
The VISA Desjardins GOLD card, like the other Prestige cards, offers:
- Auto Rental Collision/Loss Damage
- 3-Day Travel Insurance
To find out more about insurance, go to the All our VISA Desjardins cards page, choose a card from the left-hand menu and click on Insurance.
The VISA Desjardins GOLD card has been replaced by the VISA Desjardins Elegance GOLD card. It is also a Prestige card with no annual fee and offers:
- extended warranty
- purchase protection
- the BONUSDOLLARS rewards program (0.5% of your purchases in BONUSDOLLARS)
- the option of converting 1% of your purchases into BONUSDOLLARS for an annual fee of $30.
Upgrade or switch cards online on AccèsD
If you are an AccèsD user:
- Log on to AccèsD.
- Click on Online applications.
- In the left-hand menu, click on Apply for a credit card.
- In the Personal information section, click Upgrade or switch card.

A. Accord D financing is a second credit limit available on your VISA Desjardins card.

Q. How does overdraft protection work? How much does it cost?
A. Overdraft protection is a complimentary service offered to Desjardins members.
When you register for the Overdraft Transfer Service, the transactions that exceed your account balance are still authorized. A cash advance on your VISA Desjardins card automatically covers your account at the end of the business day.
This service helps you avoid overdraft charges as well as the inconveniences of a temporary lack of funds.
The interest rate on the cash advance is the same rate that applies to your VISA Desjardins card.
Please note that you can’t have a line of credit and the overdraft protection on the same account.
There are many ways to add the service:
Online on AccèsD
If you use the AccèsD Internet service, you can add the Overdraft Transfer Service online:
- Log on to AccèsD.
- In the Account management section, click on Overdraft protection.
- Select the appropriate account.
- Click Add.
- Select the VISA Desjardins card you want to use for the cash advance.
- Click Validate and then Confirm.
By phone
You can also contact AccèsD at 514-522-2373 or 1-800-CAISSES (1-800-224-7737, toll-free) from 6:00 a.m. to midnight, 7 days a week.

Q. How do I get a discount at Hertz?
A. As a VISA Desjardins cardholder, you get 5% to 10% off at participating Hertz counters worldwide when you use your credit card to rent a vehicle.
The terms of the discount are determined by Hertz merchants. Your discount may be subject to the season, vehicle category or the length of your rental.
For more information about the terms of the discount or to make a reservation, call 1-800-263-0600 (Canada) or 1-800-654-2210 (U.S.), or go to the
Hertz site.
To get the discount, the Hertz dealer will ask you for a CDP number. To get this number, go to All our VISA Desjardins cards, select the card you have and click the Hertz discount link.
