Q. I’d like to get a VISA Desjardins card. How do I apply for one?

Q. Can I get a secured deposit VISA Desjardins card? If so, how?
A. To get a secured deposit VISA Desjardins card, fill out an application form for an unsecured credit card.

To apply for a VISA Desjardins card:

If your application is refused, please contact a credit analyst to apply for a secured credit card at 514-397-4415 or 1-800-363-3380, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m..

Please note that you will then need to go to your caisse to make the deposit required to issue your VISA Desjardins card.

Q. I’m currently underage but would still like to apply for a VISA Desjardins credit card. Can I get one?
A. Regulations governing the issue of credit cards prohibit us from issuing a credit card to an underage person.

However, if a parent or legal guardian assumes responsibility for the account, we will consider your application.

Q. How do I activate my new VISA Desjardins card?
A. To activate your new card, please call the automated activation line at 514-397-4419 or 1-800-563-4401 (toll-free). You will need the control number that was sent along with your new credit card. You will also be able to choose your PIN.

If you no longer have your control number, please call 514-397-4415, option 1, or 1-800-363-3380 (toll-free). Follow the instructions and press “0” to speak to an agent who will then activate your card.

Q. How do I change the PIN on my VISA Desjardins card?
A. To change the PIN on your VISA Desjardins card, please contact us at 514-397-4415, option 1, or 1-800-363-3380 (toll-free). You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Q. My card will expire soon but I haven’t received my new card yet. What should I do?
A. VISA Desjardins cards are valid until the last day of the month of expiry. Cards are renewed automatically and sent to the address on file. You should receive your new card before the end of the month of expiry.

Q. I lost my VISA Desjardins credit card. How do I cancel it and obtain a new one?
A. If you have lost your VISA Desjardins card, please contact us as soon as possible.
