Desjardins continues its partnership with the Festival de Lanaudière

Joliette, May 13, 2008 – Desjardins Group, the largest financial institution in Québec, is happy to announce the renewal of its partnership with the Festival de Lanaudière for the next three years. Desjardins will once again be the sponsor of the series of five great Sunday concerts.

The Concerts Desjardins series, presented Sunday afternoons in the enchanting setting of Lanaudière’s Amphitheatre, met with unprecedented success in 2007. This partnership has made it possible to offer reasonably-priced concerts in a relaxed atmosphere that have, over the years, captivated audiences of all ages. The 31st presentation of the Festival will certainly be no exception with the presentation of musical concerts in tune with the colours of summer. It will be the ideal outing for the whole family.

  • July 13: ROMEO AND JULIET, IN THE PASSIONATE WORLD OF THE TANGO, Denis Plante (bandonéon), Sophie Lemaire (vocals), NINENSON TRIO, TANGO Y ALGO MAS TROUPE (6 dancers), Marjolayne Auger (choreography)
  • July 20: JAZZ AND BLUES IN SONG, Terra Hazelton and Her Easy Answers
  • July 27: LOVE SONGS, CONSTANTINOPLE ENSEMBLE, Françoise Atlan (vocals)
  • August 3: FLAMENCO: DANCE AND MUSIC, CARAVANA FLAMENCA, Shraddha D. Blaney (dance), Marie-Andrée Cloutier (dance), Natasha Massicotte (dance), José Luis Pérez (vocals), Dominique Soulard (flamenco guitar), Éric Breton (percussion).

Desjardins' participation in the activities of the Festival de Lanaudière once again confirms its commitment to its members and their community by making this major cultural event accessible to all music lovers.
