Getting active with the 5/30 Fitness Challenge – Running shoes and vegetables valued yet again at Desjardins

Become the Desjardins 5/30 Family

Montréal, January 15, 2008 – Desjardins Group is proud to team up once again with Acti-Menu for the 5/30 Fitness Challenge. Already a major partner in the Challenge, Desjardins is now launching the first ever “Become the Desjardins 5/30 Family”.

For the fifth year in a row, Desjardins is demonstrating its drive to integrate a culture of good health within its organization. The Group is inviting its 40,000 employees, its 6,800 elected officers and all of its retirees, along with all of their family members, to take on this great health challenge that will take place between March 1 and April 11.

As in the past, all participants must meet the challenge of eating at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables and being active for at least 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week.

The financial institution hopes to encourage all of Québec’s families to adopt and maintain healthy living habits. One of the participating families will have the chance to take home the prize of $5,000, which will be given in the form of a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP). Families can register at www.defisante530.ca between now and February 29.
